Morning!!

Happy Monday to you!
Happy Monday to you!
Happy Monday Everybody!
Happy Monday to you!

Do you know why this is a happy Monday? Well, it's simple really - it's followed by a short work week and a holiday! WOO HOO! Not that I actually 'work' outside of the home and have Friday off or anything - but it's always exciting to know Jason has a day off - and more exciting when we get to do something fun with our off day!

We had a busy weekend and a busy week planned too. We went to church yesterday and it was a great message!! We enjoyed it as always. Had some friends over (Monique, Jer and the girls) for a little play date and cook out. Cole has been wanting the girls to come over forever. He loves them!! We introduced Monique and Jer to the Wii Bowling. I think it was fun but maybe a bad thing - they are a bit competitive and I'm guessing it'll be some time in 2009 before Monique stops reminding Jer that she beat him - TWICE. He won one game and by a larger score - but still two is better than one, right? It was really funny to watch. Jason kept trying to mess Monique up by talking about work, DisneyWorld - anything to break her concentration. We love our Wii but don't play it with others often enough - its a lot more fun that way! I really really really want RockStar for the Wii, but I'm not sure if I'd play in front of anyway. No one wants to hear me sing on my own - I promise. We've been working on our Wii Harry Potter game but it is so hard. I guess that's what happens when a Muggle tries magic. Last night I got some scrapping done as well - finished a layout, another one is almost done and I played with another that I'm STILL not happy with but I don't want to just trash it - I like the paper. What's a girl to do? Then we watched Superman Returns. It was pretty good. I just don't remember all the original Superman movies that well and I just don't understand why NO ONE NOTICES the resemblance between Clark and Superman. NO ONE NOTICES that the two are never in the same place at the same time??? Come on!! And have you ever noticed that DC Comics does the double letters a lot - (at least the same beginning sound) Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Lex Luther - then you have Peter Parker - ok well I can't think of anymore than that - maybe it's a coincidence. hmmmmm

Today - I MUST GO GET MY NAILS DONE - they are sad and pitiful. I just haven't made it a priority and it's been over four weeks since my last fill in. Sad news, huh? Tomorrow I'm having lunch (I think) with Carol. We've been doing this Tuesday Lunch thing for several weeks now. We meet somewhere (usually near a scrapbook store hee hee) and chill a bit, eat a bit, talk a bit. Since it's summer, the kids are involved and where ever we eat usually has a play place of some sort. Everyone's happy that way. Mommy time, kiddo time, scrapbook supplies near - as Martha would say - "It's a good thing." Carol and I are the only regulars though - we pick up a n additional mommy here or there every few weeks. It's fun!! Wednesday night our church is having a big Fourth of July celebration and we're planning to attend that. Should be fun but we may skip the very end - it's fireworks and while I love to see them, I hate to force Cole into experiencing them. So we may head out right before those start.

And Friday is the BIG DAY! Everyone in the family is coming over here for the fourth! I'm excited. I haven't had the family over - EVER. So the aunts, uncles, cousins, etc - will all be here. Jason had planned to go out of town this weekend with the guys to Atlanta for a little golfing, a little Braves action - but most of the guys have backed out sadly - so it looks like we'll have him to ourselves. :) YEAH! Not that I mind the guy time - it's just nice to have a long weekend and all of us be here.

i have a million projects in my mind right now - things i want to work on and make and just haven't made the time to start ONE of them yet. i need to get busy. summer will be over before i know it and it'll be back to subbing it looks like - darnit. i really want to be planning my classroom and decorating it instead of my home!

ok, enough rambling - later

bummed

what a bummer!! i tried out for a design team and didn't make it. rats and crappit!! i was so hoping i'd make it.

the good thing is i think my layouts have improved just since trying - well some of them have - i have a few that i still haven't posted because they aren't good enough yet. there's just something missing and i haven't figured it out yet.

anyway - i spent several hours today at Alicia's playing with her Stampin' Up stuff and WOW does she have some stamps. it was a bit overhwelming. i didn't really stamp much but i got ideas of things i could do next time - if there's a next time. she told me today they are moving to ohio. another bummer! oh i played with her cuttlebug too - and embossed tons of paper. that was lots of fun. all the girls that were there were in serious card making mode. they did some really cute stuff. gave me lots of ideas for the future.

ok - i'm pooped. i spent all day yesterday getting cole's toys in order. he's had a mess lately - half upstairs, half down - a few things actually ON the stairs :) so now everything is back in it's place. it's always good times when we do this - he helps me and he always finds toys he's been 'missing' and get excited to see them again. it's almost like they're new.

hope you have a wonderful Sunday. we're heading to church in the AM and then having some friends over for a little cooking out. fun times!! hopefully they'll be some board games involved, or some Wii bowling maybe? i don't know - all i do know is i'm a bit tired of seeing tiger woods golfing on the Wii. it's time for a new game.

A Flashback

I was checking blogs this morning and Carol had posted a picture of herself from 1985 and 1989. We're the same age, graduated the same year - which basically means we had big hair at the same time :)

I wanted to post a few pics of way back then but I only have a few scanned - I'll have to do some digging to see if I can find some really big hair pictures. Most of what I have is actually a little after high school for some reason, did I not take many pictures during high school? hmmm

so here's some big hair for you and I know you can't see all of me - but I was so skinny here - my prom dress was a size 5!!!! WOW - that was little!!! And this is my cousin with me - who's hair was even bigger than mine!
and this is me with a friend in about 1992 i think - hard to remember - in another shirt i made - is this one better than the butterfly? i think NOT!! Notice the acid wash jeans? Hot right?

Oh the good ole' days!

a busy day.............

So yesterday I ended up making three tshirts. They are pretty cute - if I can say so myself. Well, one I'm not crazy about but the other two - cute cute!! I did a red star on a blue shirt with some little firework-ish details around it (this is the one I'm not crazy about) with another small star on the back. Then I did a black shirt with a cool design I drew out with a heart and ribbon behind it and a smaller heart off to the side. I want to add an "E" to it somewhere - ya know - for Edward from Twilight. This one was the hardest one to do - I drew the pattern out on paper and pinned it to the shirt and stitched through the paper. It didn't seem like a bad idea, but it was hard - and my thread was a little too loose. So if I did that again, I'll need to pay more attention as I go.

THEN i got really brave and took a butterfly i'd cut out with the accucut machine at Scrap Etc, some fabric that came in the first Scripts kit, a tshirt and some embrodiery thread. so now i have a green tee with a cute butterfly reverse applique!! Now i'm thinking of about 400 other things i want to do. i wish i had about twenty other plain tshirts to play with now. I would love to take another one and do a KC (Kenny Chesney) and use old of my older Kenny shirts as the backing - that way I would have an original Kenny shirt for the show in a few weeks. So here's a close up of the butterfly::

I'll take pictures of my other shirts and post soon. I'm sure this will be a short lived obsession - I tend to do that a lot. Get all crazy about what I want to make and make it a bunch and then get burned out. So, a handful of shirts will probably be enough. I may try to do something for Cole though - out of some older shirts that I just can't get rid of - maybe a little blanket or some throw pillows or a wall hanging. I don't know. There are always so many cute kid clothes you just can't bare to part with, ya know? What do you do with them??

So what are you making right now?

creating and ignoring laundry

well my title isn't entirely true - i washed some tshirts before i did some creating with them :)

but the rest of the laundry is still staring at me - waiting for me to throw it in the machine. i did a layout yesterday but didn't finish it completely - well i did, but i'm not happy with the end result so i think it needs some tweaking. what i'm really tempted to do is take it apart and do it over.

i did some reverse applique on two tshirts today. tried to take pictures but it didn't really work - maybe tomorrow i'll try again. i needed to take pictures of the front of our house this evening and when i went out to do it - it was raining - but only in the FRONT yard. crazy. so i'll try again in a bit. or do it in the morning. (sorry michelle - they're coming though) :)

i've got some bracelets half made. i need to work on them too. i have all the beads sorted out for each one, all the pieces and parts are ready - i just need to sit still long enough to put them all together.

i can't believe July is almost here. WOW!! We don't have very long until school will start again. and i STILL don't have a job.

wow - started out on a happy post and it just got blah - sorry for that!
more upbeat tomorrow :)

New Playlist - woo hoo

So I just had a flashback today to some really really old music. Why is 'rock' music today not as good as it used to be? I mean there is no Marky Mark around - and what ever happened to Jesus Jones? or Arrested Development?

So - crank up your speakers - and chill with some of my favs for the late 80's and early 90's. I remember listening to MANY of these in my sport little car with me windows done and radio blaring. And they weren't CD's - they were cassette tapes - remember THOSE old things?

have a great TUNESday!!

Playing with photos

On the crop addict message board someone posted links to some cool places to upload your photos to and play with different enhancements, and all kinds of things. I played with the first one she posted and that's as far as I got!! It was too fun to even look at the other link! So here's a picture I took this afternoon of a bird's nest that my dad found in a shrub in the front yard - this is straight out of the camera:

This one I used the 'boost' option

and this one is my favorite - i used the LUMO option!!

isn't that the coolest? well the site is www.picnik.com and really the neatest place. i know lots of people can do all these cool things with photoshop, but i don't have it, so i don't get to do all these fun things!! you can do all the normal editing things too - red eye and all that - but if you click on create - you get tons of cool options.

here's a self portrait of me and jason on a disney bus - i'm sure we we're on our way somewhere - we don't look tired enough to be on our way back!

this is changed to some degree of black and white and then i added the lumo effect - i like it!!

Have a wonderful night!

I don't really get out much, huh?

I saw this on Morgan's blog and thought I'd do it, too. Mine isn't nearly as intersting as her's was. I haven't been very far - at all. Just for fun - I was 25 before I made it into Florida (although I think my dad drove us over the state line once when I was younger just to buy lottery tickets - we always vacationed in Gulf Shores, so I was close to Florida). 25 before I made it to Mississippi (and then it was around Meridian and many many trips to Biloxi, also a few stays in Jackson). 29 before I made it to Lousianna (We did the Big Easy for our Honeymoon and went back three or four more times I think). And I turned 30 the day after my first trip to Illinois (my brother's in Chicago and we've been one time since then). And I was 33 when we visited Arkansas. (We went there to see The Wiggles - while we were living in Memphis.) I didn't travel much before Jason I guess.

I remember my first trip to Georgia being in 7th grade to see family and for my big bro to check out Emory - he had a scholarship I think and did the whole 'let's tour colleges' thing that school year.

My first trip (that I recall) to Tennessee was in 6th grade. I remember going to a giant flea market in Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry with my parents and Granny. Don't know who was playing at the Opry, but I do remember what I was wearing oddly enough (and wow was it ugly - I thought I was hot stuff then though - you know - in all of my seventh grade glory). I think my parents took us to Opryland when I was younger than that - but I don't remember when - I recall seeing photos of me and my brother at some theme park - I had twin pony tails so I was less than 6 - that I know for sure. Maybe my Dad can comment and let me know!! Since then, I've lived in Memphis for about nine months and now we go twice a year. But I am no where near a VOL's fan - never going to happen!

And that's it for me tonight - I've posted more in the last few days than I normally do in a while week!

lisa

Isn't this the coolest.....

This is a picture of the castle (obviously). I took it during the Pirates and Princess Party (which by the way I want to call 'Poets and Pirates Party' Kenny fans, can I get an Amen?). The lights shining on the castle make it look like different colors at night - pink, blue, purple, orange. I think the castle looks it's best in the sunlight but this is kind of a creepy look - but I like it!!

Speaking of Disney - there was no call from Joe today, or Dave. So tomorrow I'll call them and let them know our luggage is now safe and at home no thanks to them!!

OH - we bought more Mr. Potato Head pieces - we do this every single time we go to Disney - we have a giant collection now (and Jason can't believe it and wants to know what it's worth). So I told Cole would we get them out Monday and he could play. Monday came, no potatoes. Tuesday - still no potatoes. Wednesday - you guessed it - no potatoes (although we had fries at lunch). Thursday - we just looked again - in a few more places and there they were - waiting on their new parts. So all the Mr. Potato Head pieces are together at least. We have 6 big ones and two baby spuds. We can make Spud Lightyear, Mash Poppins, Darth Tater and more!! I'm going to take a picture of all the parts in the floor!! Too much FUN!!

It's a MIRACLE

The luggage has been found - but not by Disney. By Delta? you ask. Nope - not Delta either. A lovely American Airlines employee phoned this evening to let us know our baggage was in Portland. That's no where near us - in case you weren't sure. It's also no where near Orlando either. But, evidently, someone from Portland was also at our Resort and our luggage got tagged with their info - at the Resort. So, Walt would be very disappointed, I think. I am.

So when Joe calls tomorrow, I'll let him know that some wonderful person in Portland who is in no way affiliated with our airline found our lost luggage and is having it sent back (through Atlanta, of course) and we should have it by tomorrow afternoon. I fully expect our next Disney trip to be on the house and at the resort of our choosing - The Grand Floridian - of course!! :)

Ok, so I don't really expect a free trip - but that would be nice huh? Thank goodness my Yellow Box will be returned to me, as well as my fabulous shirt my mom bought me in Mexico (ok, not the REAL Mexico - the Epcot Mexico). And Cole's glasses and shoes and cars and all that fun stuff!!! I mean there is fun in that bag that is surely waiting to pop out by now.

So there you have it - a happy camper!! I will be so very glad to receive my cheap Walmart bag tomorrow!!

Lisa

I am so frustrated.

These are the things I am frustrated about currently:

1. my lost luggage
2. companies that out source their customer service people
3. companies that repeat verbatim random little blurbs that they think will help you - even though it has nothing to do with the real reason you are calling them - but they go on and on until they've read what they need to say and you don't really understand it because of number 2 above!!

So, back to number one. We bought travel insurance - so you'd think we'd be A-OK right? Well, not so much - it doesn't cover glasses or contacts (or artificial limbs, not that we have any). So the largest amount of money lost in this luggage would be in Jason's glasses which are less than 3 months old, Cole's glasses which are less than 6 months old, and two boxes of Jason's contacts, again less that 3 months old. GOOD GRIEF. Someone said to me they probably saw Cole's medication in your bag and took it. First of all, its thyroid meds - not codeine or anything remotely cool - so I'm doubting my luggage disappeared over some Synthroid!! or Rapid Release Tylenol PM. Now, the Aerosmith Rockin' Rollercoaster drum sticks - MAYBE!!! So the list is getting longer - the things I keep remembering that are in this particular piece of luggage is ridiculous. We found four Disney Pixar Cars cars we didn't have - bought them - they are now lost. I cannot express in typed language my frustration over these things.

On to number two!! My name is not Leeezaaaa although three different women from some other country think it's cool to say it that way. They talk so darn fast, I can't understand a word they say other than 'Leeezaaaa' and 'sorry'!! Well, neither of those two words are helping me with my luggage, are they? NOPE. Each time I call I'm hoping some sweet southern belle name Lindsey or Ashley will answer the phone and totally understand how upset I am about my cute Yellow Box flip flops!! Ashley would really understand. Lindsey would say "NO, not your Clinique Clarifying Lotion!!!" Am I asking too much here? I think not.

And number three - as soon as Delta Foreign Woman answers the phone she immediately goes into their spill 'i see you've already called today, twice' and then 'i'm sorry for the inconvenience but we still have no information on your luggage at this time. you were instructed to..............' and this goes on for three more minutes (more or less) and I finally get to say "YEAH - I know all that - I have a question." Finally I get to ask my question and she may have answered it, but really? I'm not sure since I can't understand anything but "Leeezaaaa"!!!

Ridiculous!!

So, I just got a call from the resort. And finally he says 'yeah, i see that number you gave us. it was your bag right?' to which I resond ' yes, it's mine' and he says well it left here but what we don't know if where it went after that. Well, DUH??? I could have told him that already. So tomorrow he's going to check with Joe - cause Joe should know apparently.

Cross your fingers that Joe can indeed determine where our luggage went. This is so stupid. There are so many things in that bag that were purchased there in Disney. So even if they decide to reimburse us for everything - it's not like I can just run over to Mexico and pick up another cute white lacy shirt that my mom got me, or do the whole grand gathering again to get the two collectors pins that cole and I were both given. Or the cute Toy Story tin that has the cars in it, along with a Buzz and R2D2 racer. Or the Toy Story Mania popcorn container we bought - just because it was Toy Story Mania - we DIDN'T EVEN EAT THE POPCORN!!!

sigh,
lisa

Stolen Photos

Ok - I love all things Disney - but the PhotoPass is just wrong. There are some good photos on there - but jeez - I can't afford to buy them online.

Here's a few I managed to 'save' from the photopass website - don't tell Mickey!!

I just love Minnie Mouse - she gave me a kiss on the cheek!

Is this not just typical? We ride Test Track - they take a picture of us - and I'm taking a picture, in the picture!!

I may have to break down and order an 8x10 of this one - it's pretty good!

Another group shot - pretty good!

me, cole and pooh. Jason was actually in the picture too - but looked pretty sweaty so I cropped him out! :)

thanks for looking
lisa

We're back!!

We survived our vacation!! Wow, it was really a long week. We had a lot of fun and did so many things we'd missed out on before. My computer is struggling to upload all the photos I took, so this may only have a few photos - but I'll be back with more pictures, don't worry!! I think I took about 800.

We stayed at Pop Century Resort, which is one of the value resorts at Disney. It was nice - lots of 80's inspired things around and I loved that. Giant big wheel, rubics cube, laptop, cell phone - cute stuff!! Lots of cool 80's music playing in the background. We liked Pop Century but have decided that we won't go back until we can afford to stay on the monorail line. It's just faster and more convenient - less buses!

Our first day was at Epcot and wow - it was so great. Our first trip there we completely skipped the World Showcase so my parents had not seen any of that. So that was a big plus. We got there pretty early and were able to get on Soarin' right away - which was the highlight of Epcot for me. Cole actually rode it and later said it was his favorite ride from that park. He was all ready to ride Test Track too until he heard how loud it was. Him and Grammy sat out and the rest of our group rode it - I was chicken for nothing because it was so cool. I think it was my dad's favorite ride. We also did the Seas with Nemo but Cole wasn't impressed! We walked all over the World Showcase and really enjoyed seeing everything. Paris is my favorite - just because I loved the Eiffel Tower. We bought the extra extra large tower and I'm going to find a special spot in the living room for it. I wanted one last time we were there, but didn't want to spend the money on the big one, so I did what any good scrapbooker does - I took pictures of the smaller ones in the gift shop :) - this time Jason said 'just get it' so I did!! I was really impressed by Cole - he was much more willing to ride things this time than the last two trips. We had THE best meal in Epcot. We ate at Tutto's in Italy and it was devine. Every part of my meal was fabulous. I don't even know the name of what I had but it was THE BEST meal I've ever had. Hunter (my little cousin) and I both ordered it and every meal after that was compared to this one and not one single bite was even close to as delish!!

I forgot to get a picture of my dinner (above) until I'd already eaten half of it!
It was similar to a ravioli I guess - it's like the pasta was a large circle filled with cheese then the circle was folded up around the cheese filling - then the top was twisted together and possibly bound together with something while it was cooked? I don't know - but it was delish! Below, you'll find my yummy dessert. They were pastries filled with vanilla bean ice cream and topped with hot chocolate syrup. YUM!

Monday was Magic Kingdom and we started with breakfast at Crystal Palace. This was by far the best breakfast we had (we had three different breakfast buffets). We didn't do too much at Magic Kingdom that morning. It was so hot. We planned to stay a while and then take a break at the heat of the day - go home and return when it cooled off again. We got to do a few things we hadn't done before - the Tea Cups, Carousel of Progress and Monster's Inc Laugh Floor. That was really hilarious. Cole was hesitant to do lots of things, but then really liked it once we talked him into it. I think we rode Space Ranger Spin 6 times!! We tried to stay for the fireworks, but Cole flipped out a bit (even with earplugs and giant noise reduction headphones) so he and I ducked into the Emporium and everyone else watched.

Tuesday we started with breakfast at Chef Mickey's. It was ok, but the breakfast at Crystal Palace was tons better! We had a great group shot taken before our meal though -and that was cool! But it's on our Disney Photo Pass instead of my camera - somehow my camera was set on Manual Focus, instead of Auto - so a bunch of photos from this breakfast are blurry :( - anyway, we spent part of the day at Downtown Disney and then headed to Hollywood Studios that evening for a little while. We got to watch Playhouse Disney Live on Stage and the brave ones in our group rode the Rockin' Rollercoaster (they were nuts for that!!). We also did Star Wars - and Cole rode that - which was a shocker. We ended up getting rained on pretty badly that night and missed the laser light fireworks show. But a bunch of us ended up with really cute Disney World Ponchos!! And we got to eat at Pizza Planet - which was very cool for Cole.

Wednesday we headed back to Hollywood Studios and did Indian Jones - which was really cool. I took about 100 pictures of this alone. We ate at Hollywood and Vine and got to see Leo and June from Little Einsteins and Jo Jo and Goliath from Jo's Jo's Circus. Cole was really excited to see them. We did Star Wars too and the Great Movie Ride. We did the Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey - not a fan of that one - it was boring. But their was AIR CONDITIONING - so that was nice. Our group split up eventually and me, mom and Cole watched the Block Party Bash with Pixar and the girls did the rollercoaster again while Jason and my dad went to see Lights, Motors, Action. The three of us stayed in the park after that to watch Playhouse Disney again and see Lightning and Mater. Then we headed to the Pirates and Princess Party at Magic Kingdom.

We rode several things that night that we hadn't done yet - Pirates of the Carribean being the favorite I think. We finally got to ride it!!! After three trips! Cole enjoyed it too so that was a bonus. Jason, my dad and Cole did the Swiss Family Treehouse which Jason has wanted to do each trip and finally got to!! We also did the Aladdin ride - another first for Cole. I think we rode Space Ranger Spin several times. We did the Tomorrowland Transit Authority ride too. And we watched the fireworks too. Cole and Jason skipped it this time and did - wait for it - Space Ranger Spin. I got a few good photos of the fireworks too!

Thursday we slept!!! Well, not all day, but we slept late. Jason and I really overdid it Wednesday so we were ready for some chill time by Thursday. We slept in and ended up at the pool after lunch. We decided to go to Downtown Disney for dinner and try to get into Planet Hollywood. This was really fun. I loved it - although it was a bit loud for my parents - I really loved all the music and stuff inside. At one point me and my three cousins were all singing along to whatever was playing - it was just fun!! After that we headed back to Epcot since they had extra magic hours. We were hoping to ride Soarin' again and Test Track. Soarin' was amazing - again and Test Track had an hour wait. So we skipped that and headed to Mexico for the Three Cabellaro's ride (I'm probably spelling it wrong, but Donald Duck was there and Cole LOVES that duck so we had to ride again).

Friday we had planned an Animal Kingdom but it's our least favorite park for some reason. So we ended up sleeping late and heading over there in the afternoon. Just in time to do a little safari and A Bug's Life (which we'd missed before), play a bit in Dinoland (Cole's fav) and Jason, Audra and Bailey were brave enough to do Everest (I haven't uploaded those photos yet though). We had dinner at the Tusker House and it was pretty good. They didn't have anything on the buffet Cole would eat so they fixed him a special plate of McDONALD's!! I think that's the best part of Animal Kingdom - McDonald's is there for the pickest kid in the world!

Friday night was by far the best 'event' of the whole trip. We had 8 people total in our party - so that meant we were a Grand Gathering. We had the option to do a few extra things since we were a Grand Gathering. One was a Magical Fireworks thing with the guys from Peter Pan. So we went to a special pre-party with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee where we had drinks and snacks (they had cokes, hot chocolate, coffee, cotton candy, cookies, popcorn - you name it). We got pictures made with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. Then we headed off with a pirate on a boat. We started at the Contemporary Resort and ended up in the Seven Seas Lagoon. The pirate that was leading us was hilarious. Lots of joking around and sing alongs. Very Fun!! We ended up right in front of Magic Kingdom and we could see the entire show of Wishes - the fireworks at the end of the night. This is the first time I've seen the entire show. We usually end up somewhere else hiding from the fireworks. So it was so cool we could see it all. The best part was you couldn't really hear the fireworks so Cole wasn't scared - no tears!!! He watched every bit of it!! It was absolutely AMAZING!! We headed back to the Contemporary Resort and our pirate (named Patch) did a little Disney Trivia with us. Cole answered a question correctly (with much prodding from us) and got a cool pirate sword. When we got back to the boat launch, Peter Pan was waiting for us. We got pictures made with him as well. Cole thought he was really cool and wanted to know where his "friends" were - you know, Captain Hook and Smee? Peter had to explain to him that they weren't friends. Then we had to explain to Peter that Cole hadn't actually seen the movie yet but we would take care of that as soon as we arrived home!! I felt a bit bad but hey, we've just now gotten Cole to actually watch Toy Story all the way through (he's seen it about 24 times now in about four days time!).

So Saturday was the end for us. We spent the majority of the day at Magic Kingdom with a break during the heat. We had breakfast at Tony's - another breakfast that was NOT stellar!! But Tony's danced with my mom, so that was worth it. We got to do Mickey's Philharmagic that morning as well. We ended up back at the park until closing that night and rode everything again. Grammy and Granddaddy were done though and spent some time at Downtown Disney instead. We also got to see Pooh, Tigger and Darby - which was so worth waiting in the long line. Cole wanted to see Darby so very badly. She's from My Friends Tigger and Pooh which is Cole's fav Disney cartoon right now. We rode Pooh, Peter Pan, Snow White, Dumbo.............what else? I can't even remember. Oh we did the Haunted Mansion again that morning, too. It was just a blast. Jason and Cole his in It's a Small World for the fireworks and me and the girls watched them from just behind the castle while eating funnel cakes. YUM. We left the park at closing again and we're just pooped!!!

Sunday morning we packed up - checked our luggage and got something that resembled boarding passes at the resort then headed to Downtown Disney to eat at Wolfgang Pucks. It was really good. The bad thing is their bread is so good, you fill up on it before you get your food. We walked around a bit there afterwards - getting a few more things!!! Then headed back to the resort to catch the Magical Express.

This is when the vacation went down hill!! We get to the airport over two hours early (which was fine) but then we go to check in and they don't like the 'boarding pass' that Disney gave us so we had to get new things printed and there were questions about our luggage because we didn't have any luggage claim numbers (Disney didn't give us those the right way and what they did give us - Delta took so we had nothing). We get loaded on the plane and it's hot already. Finally is starts to cool off, but then we smell smoke. Something has gone wrong with the air conditioning and that's were the smoke was coming from - or so they said! lol - well we all get off the plane - which was a pain since we had to take all our belongings with us and wake Cole up!! He was grumpy and mad!! So we get off, cool off and finally are let back on after about thirty minutes. We finally take off - over an hour late - arrive in Birmingham to find all but one piece of luggage. Now all of our luggage is important but this piece has all our medication in it, two pairs of shoes that belong to me, one pair of Cole's, our glasses, several of the goodies we bought, our left over clean clothes, a library book (good grief - a new one too that I really want to read). So many important things are in this bag - all our toiletries (except my toothbrush and make up thank goodness). So we do all the missing baggage paper work and leave. We still haven't heard anything about the luggage - they don't know where it is at all. I'm so frustrated about that. I can't even remember what all is in the luggage!! I hope it turns up today - or at least that let us know where it is? That it didn't fall our of the plane and land somewhere in Georgia.

So there you have it - our vacation!! Now I'm trying to upload photos and do laundry and get back to normal. We really needed a vacation to get over our vacation!!

Thanks for reading (if you made it this far) and have a wonderful day!!
