Some layouts I've forgotten to share
I realized I haven't shared lots of these layouts here - so here ya go:
Always take the Scenic Route - I love this drive - it's the road to my friend Carol's house. I kept saying I wanted to take some pictures of Cole there and one day, I finally remembered to actually bring my camera!!
This is one of my favorite pictures - Cole and Kaylee - she's a super sweet little girl in his class.
This first real snow we've had that Cole actually got excited about. He kept telling me everything had gone 'extremely white' - which is from a Charlie and Lola cartoon!
My favorite Disney layout ever. Took forever to get all those pictures lines up the right way.
My favorite Valentine - he's so sweet!
Just wanted to share!

My second grader's adventure's
At the beginning of the school year, I started this little mini album to show Cole's pictures from the first day of school, including his new shoes, backpack, etc. I made an album and then decided I didn't like it. It just sat in a bag with the supplies I had pulled together. In my recent overhaul of my guest/scrap room I found it and decided it was time to fix it and use it.
The original album was really small - not much inside. I ended up using some chipboard pages I cut using the AccuCut at Scrapbook Mania, some felt and acrylic pieces that came from a mixed media kit, an envelope and the hidden journaling were cut from the AccuCut from Scrap Etc. My favorite part is the cover and back and the added pieces to the binder ring. I used a C and T from Heidi Swapp Ghost letters (also found during the overhaul) and the 2 card (also found during the overhaul). I love that I can use several pictures from the entire school year and keep them all in one place. I'm subbing in his room next week and plan to take a group shot while I'm there!
So this is what I came up with:
The cover and back of the album are pieces of cardstock with alphabet letters glued on. Then I spray painted the entire thing. I just picked random letters - and arranged them in order, somewhat.
The first pages show the photos I took before we left for school. Took several shots to get a decent one - without him making a crazy face!!
Here's his lunch, along with a note from mom and dad, his new shoes and him walking up the side walk to school!
His second pair of new school shoes! The "starting out" side opens for some journaling I wrote to Cole.
Next starts his Christmas party at school:
Him and a friend playing air guitar!
More friends at the Christmas Party.
This is from the Boosterthon.
Cole did so good walking his laps!
Now this is from the recent trip to the McWane Center - Cole had such a blast!
More McWane!
and a little more McWane!
and a teeny bit more McWane along with a tag telling about the field trip!
These last few are blank to leave room for the end of the year stuff, a group shot and a picture of Cole with his teacher.
and the whole album:
I hope Cole will enjoy looking at it and remembering all the fun he had!

Creating some fun stuff:
I won't bore you with my pictures of the day from yesterday. I know (if anyone actually reads this) that it's not that interesting!! :D And yesterday was a rather boring day, and today is looking the same. Not sure that all these pictures was a good idea - showing what little I accomplish in a day!!
So with Mother's Day around the corner, I'm trying to find some interesting things to make for the mom's in my life. This is the first thing I'm working on:
Here's the tutorial - Fireflies and Jellybeans
I'm also planning on making one for my sister-in-law since she's getting married in October. I was thinking about changing it up a bit and doing one that said "Grammy's House" with the Est. date, the year Cole was born. We'll see how that works out!
I'm also going to do this for my mother-in-law:
The cross in the middle has one of my favorite versus written around the shape. So, I've picked out another shape and verse and I'm going to try this for my mother-in-law!
I'm also thinking about this for my mother-in-law:
She loves to read and collects lots of books - so I think she's like this. I've got one almost completed (which I learned how to do here) so if I can finish it in time, I think she'll like it. I wish I had some old recipe books to use to make one for my mom, but I'm not sure where she'd put it - but it would be fun out of recipes since she's a cake maker!!
I would also like to do a silhouette of Cole for my mom. He's got a great shaped head for that!! We may try that this afternoon!!
I made this, too - to give my sister-in-law, who is having a sweet baby girl Monday.
This was a Hobby Lobby find, after Easter for 90% off (nice score). The little square in the middle had a bunny scene on it that I covered with Dear Lizzy paper. I added the A (for Ashlyn) and a flower and some ribbon. I think on the back side I'm going to write out this verse: For this child I have prayed and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of Him.
They have a pink cross for the nursery that has part of that verse on it, so it would be a cute addition I think. I'm hoping I can make something cute to put inside it - but I may run out of time!!
And, last but not least, I want to make a bridal planner for my sister-in-law and mother-in-law to use while planning the wedding.
I guess, all of that means, I need to get off of here and get busy!!
Later!

Week in the Life - Monday - for real this time
I know everyone (if there's anyone reading) isn't overly excited about our day - it's just easier for me to keep up this way!!
Okay - the last post was Week in the Life - Sunday!
Here's Monday:
Cole's juice, pill, and muffins:
Time to wake him up:
A little cartoon time before getting ready:
Peeking to see if his ride is on the way:
My breakfast, Diet Dr Pepper and laptop:
flat iron time:
crafting time:
ran in here:
then had this waiting for dismissal:
The view from my car window:
Cole unpacks his backpack and leaves me this everyday:
More crafting time:
A little Grey's:
Jason finished cutting the grass and brought me these:
Homework time:
Jason playing on the computer:
more crafting - i seem to do that a lot:
Cole puts on his pj shirt backwards two or three times a week:
carpet angels:
I think Optimus Prime is checking Cole's work:
Aw, sweet sleep is on the way:
Sadly - Sleep wasn't that great - the last three nights I've had a hard time sleeping - just feel super sleepy and then twenty minutes later, i'm wide awake! Boo!!
