my 200th post - WOW

Who knew I could ramble on so darn much huh? Oh, right - everyone!!! :)

I've spent a ridiculous amount of time today on YouTube. I mean, I've been there before - sure. I've looked for videos of specific things - a few Kenny videos, a few silly Yo Gabba Gabba videos for Cole. We've also seen a few Disney YouTubes - Cole loved that. But today has been Matt Nathanson YouTube Day!

I just discovered his music last week I guess. I heard one song on a new local station and went home and googled the lyrics to figure out who it was. I had no idea since all I really ever listen to is country.

Well, he's been around for a while and I've just been missing out - so now I'm catching up. I've downloaded a few songs and I've been watching YouTube and listening to MattRadio on mattnathanson.com - I'm officially hooked.

The strange thing is this:

That's all the same guy - but the top picture looks completely different from the others!! Strange, huh - what a hair do changes? I like the hair sticking up actually - not sure why - but I do. I passed on a link to my friend Michelle - we both have music issues lol - we love it. Well I sent you a few YouTubes and told her my favorite songs and even said that Kenny had some competition. I mean, seriously, no one believes me when I say that with Kenny, it's really about the music - I love his voice, I love the songs that just speak to my heart. There are a few that just get me!!! Yeah, he's easy on the eyes - but seriously, it's NOT JUST THAT. But with Matt (you see, I'm so obsessed, I'm on a first name basis with them both) I love his voice and the songs I've heard so far - but gee, it helps that he's SO darn easy on the eyes. (Sorry Jason, if you are actually reading this - you rarely do, so I felt like I could gush on about some rock star - again, sorry!!)

Ok - I guess that's enough from me. I feel like I should give away something fabulous since it's my 200th post - but I don't know what I would actually give away. Certainly not cardboard Kenny!! Hmmm, is there anything I've made that YOU want if I picked YOU??? Hmmm, probably not - but if there is - leave me a comment. If you want me to make something cute for you - holla (in the comment section) and tell me what and maybe I'll pick you. And if there's nothing I've ever made that you like, well, gee - just leave me a comment and tell me something you'd like to see me TRY to make??? I don't know.

If you love Matt Nathanson as much as me - holla!! (yes I know I'm not really cool enough to say that!!)

30 things I wish I had

ok - Molly did a list of 30 things she wanted, so I thought I would do the same and these are in NO particular order at all.

1. Free tickets, with back stage meet and greet passes to just ONE Kenny Chesney concert and I would like for Cole to be able to meet him there even though the concert would be too loud for him.

2. I would like an endless supply of adhesives for my studio - hermafix dotto refills, sticky dots, tacky tape - all of that lovely stuff.

3. I would like to never have to pay library fines. Or at least the library should be able to take my check card for fines under $4 (like the $3.30 I currently owe them).

4. I would like to have a Vera Bradley lunch box that matches my purse, along with everything that could possible be available in the pattern of my choice - java blue!!

5. I love my dishes but they don't match what I want for my kitchen - these do though or even these!

6. I would love to have some curtains for my sitting room that looked like these. Just something sheer and breezy!

7. I'm going to sew curtains for my kitchen out of a red gingham print. Hopefully be next weekend.

8. I would like to have this shower curtain but it doesn't match the bathroom I want to put it in. But it would be awesome in my bathroom that has the coolest chandelier hanging in it.

9. I really want a Revolution and about 20 alphabets/shapes, for starters ;)

10. I would really like to find all my favorite songs from church, along with Cole's favorites on ONE cd.

11. I would love to have straight hair sometimes - without freezies and without spending 6 hours to get it that way.

12. I would like to not have to ever color my hair again because it would always be the most perfect shade of reddish brown WITHOUT the platinum, ok gray, highlights I currently have.

13. I would love to give the $5000 budget and advice of Stacy and Clinton from What Not to Wear but would die of absolute embarrassment if I were on the show.

14. I would like for the old Shawn to return to Days of Our Lives and Belle not be so princessy and for the writers to do better than sending them off on a boat. Oh, and I'd like to figure out what Max is up to.

15. I would like for all the boxes in my house to get unpacked, broken down and stored away, out of sight by someone other than me - preferrable a House Elf - again NOT me.

16. I would like to own the season finales of Dawson's Creek and Friends, oh and 90210 on DVD.

17. I would like for Party of Five to have all it's seasons released on DVD - and I'd like them too!

18. I would like for our flight to DisneyWorld to stop changing and once we walk into the Magic Kingdom, I would like for a cast member to tap me on the shoulder and give me the following: a night in the Cinderella Castle, a fast pass for every ride in every park, a $5000 shopping spree and I'd like to have our pictures made with every single charter.

19. I would like a new wardrobe - everything taylor made for me :)

20. I would like to have a new pair of tennis shoes - well two - one that's cute like these and one pair that is functional like these.

21. Back to the kitchen - I would like this clock.

22. I would like a cooling pad for the laptop since it keeps overheating and shutting down.

23. I would like a cool smaller camera case to carry just my camera in.

24. I would like a 60 inch flat screen tv (that's really for Jason).

25. I would like a radio that plays all Kenny all the time (without that You Had Me with Hello song though).

26. OH OH OH I would like a job - teaching - in the school I'm currently subbing in. That should have been number one.

27. I would like to win the lottery and give a huge giant chunk to St. Jude in Cole's name.

28. Random scrapbook supplies like some stamps, some cool mini albums ready to alter, ink in lots of colors, all of Heidi Swapp's paint, all the Making Memories paint too and some Stickles - I really want to try that out.

29. Time to actually use all the scrapbook supplies I want.

30. Most importantly a long, healthy life with my husband and son, my friends and extended family!!!

30 things about Kenny Chesney

Hopefully today's posts won't be missing all the spaces between my paragraphs - we'll see.

I know - I know - you are tired of hearing about him, but I just can't help it.

1. He has nice eyes - a lovely shade of blue
2. He's short - only about 5'8" I think
3. He wears glasses but not during a concert - so when he's waving at me - and my seats are really far away, he can't really see me :(
4. He just turned 40 last week
5. He made his musical debut in 1993
6. He's had 31 top ten singles
7. He's had 13 number one singles
8. He's won Entertainer of the Year three times and it up again this year
9. His mom has a twin
10. He was born in Luttrell TN
11. I've seen Kenny in concert 4 times and am going to see him again this summer
12. Supposedly he signed Cole's guestbook on his Caringbridge Website - you can see it by going here and going to EDIT and find on this page and type in K.C. and you'll see it.
13. His first hit song was "Fall In Love" and I remember watching the video for the first time in my bedroom at my mom and dad's. I was in love!! :)
14. "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" was never a number one hit. Hard to believe since the crowds go absolutely wild when he sings it.
15. He did a cover of "Brandy" on the cd "The Road and the Radio" but only on the cd at Target.
16. In 2000, he got in trouble with Tim McGraw for grabbing a policemen's horse and taking off at a fair in New York.
17. He studied Marketing/Advertising in college.
18. He did a cover of singer-songwriter Mac McAnally's 1990 single "Back Where I Come From" on one of his CD's. It was never released as a single but he always sings it at his shows and they show footage of the town he's in on the big screens. This always makes the crowds go wild. I'm trying to find this as a ring tone so when my parents call me - it'll play this. I actually loved this song when Mac McAnally did it so it's only fitting that I'd love it more now.
19. Kenny and the guys say the same toast every night before they go out on stage.
20. At the end of performing "Big Star" all the guys (even the roadies) run out on stage and they all jump up in the air on the last drum beat. It's pretty cool!
21. His next release "Better as a Memory" was written by the same guy that wrote "Anything But Mine" - both are favorites of mine!
22. He has 11 CMA nominations this year!
23. This next tour kicks off on April 18th.
24. Kenny is sponsoring a contest for the "Next Big Star" where he's looking to help someone who is doing what he was doing years ago - trying to make it as a Big Star.
25. My screen name on the Kenny Chesney Official Fan Club message board is KCFan0918
26. In 2005 Kenny appeared in InStyle magazine and was wearing an Alabama tshirt in one of the photos.
27. Ok I'm struggling here to come up with more thigns. OH in 2006 the fan club members made a quilt for Kenny for his birthday and I made a square for it. It said 'all i need is kenny' with a denim pocket because he has jeans that say 'all you need is love' on the pocket.
28. I've been a Kenny fan forever but only became obsessed in late 2004 and completely became over the top in 2005.
29. My all time favorite Kenny song - "Somewhere in the Sun"
30. My least favorite Kenny song - "You Had Me at Hello"

Shew - that was tough!!! I mean I could have listed 30 reasons why I love him, but that would bore you to death - not that this list isn't boring if you aren't a fan........whatever!!

Happy Birthday Kenny Chesney!

Just have to get that out of the way - (you know, in case he stops by and reads my blog today) and tell Kenny Happy Birthday!!! He's forty today - can you believe it? He sure doesn't look it, or is it just because I'm older too and I don't see 'age' anymore unless your like really young and you have that hair cut where its all in your eyes and I just want to take scissors and cut your bangs? Well, Kenny doesn't have that problem at all - he has no hair! And he still looks just fine to me. I've talked about my Kenny obsession here many times and it's really not all about the looks - I promise, really it's not. I love his music - no matter how many times I play a cd over and over, it's still good - great actually. I love the music blaring in the car with the windows down. That rarely happens since Cole would get blown away in the back seat and tell me it's too loud. But I enjoy it anyway I can get it - love it!!!

Ok - enough gushing on and on about Kenny Chesney. Well, it's not enough for me, but I'm sure YOU'VE read enough.

So, spring break is over and school is back in. I was actually very glad to come back to school and rest!! :) No, I don't nap at my desk or anything like that. We just had a busy spring break. We moved. Yep - we moved into a big giant house that's much bigger than the apartment was. And we really thought the apartment was huge. Well, we were wrong!! :) We now how a larger playroom for Cole that also has a desk area for us with a tv for him to watch. He doesn't hang out in there much yet, but I think he will eventually. We have a seperate living room that has NO TOYS IN IT! Well, most of the time anyway. That was Jason's rule since Cole has a giant toy room and his own bedroom - why should there by toys in the living room. So before Jason comes home from school and work each day, we pick up any random toys that have found their way into the living room to watch Noggin.

The best part about moving, besides the nice big house and cheaper rent - I HAVE A STUDIO!!! One whole room dedicated to nothing except ME!! Scrapbooking, crafting - whatever I want to do is there in my STUDIO. It's full of furniture and has lots of shelving for me to store everything (although it isn't all unpacked yet) and I have a tv and stereo in there (with kenny cd's of course), too. All I need is about a million dollars to buy more supplies. Ok, not really, but $100 to get the new Bind It All would be nice, and then I'd need a bunch of chipboard to make albums and all that fun stuff.

Anyway, we had a very busy week and still don't have everything taken care of at home. Lots of things to unpack - my kitchen is still in boxes due to a little bug problem left behind from the previous tenants. THEN - I almost forgot this - the neighbors daughter backed into my car. My car was simply parked in the front of the house - not really in her way at all. But she was talking on her phone I think, and backed up - right into my van. The van that isn't even a year old! The van that doesn't even have a ding or scratch anywhere except a small chip in the window from a rock. They got our numbers, didn't want to fill a report because it seems she hits lots of things and they don't want her insurance to go up anymore. So they got our neighbors and the dad was going to call. This was Saturday and we haven't heard a word!! The dad walked over to the house Monday and looked at my van in the driveway - without knocking on the door or anything. He was on his cell phone talking to someone about the van and I heard 'about $200 worth of damage' but no knock on my door. Strange!!! Jason says that have until tomorrow and he'll be knocking on their door. They have our home number and Jason's cell number - good grief!! We should have filled a report!!

Anyway - back to school - the kids are on the way in. So i've got to run and go educate!! :) I love teaching!
